Roze esthetiek rond tanden en implantaten (Engelstalig)
Naast de zogenaamde witte esthetiek van de tanden speelt de roze esthetiek van het zachte weefsel rondom tand en implantaat een steeds grotere rol. Als dit tandvlees beschadigd is, wordt dit vaak beschouwd als een esthetische onvolkomenheid.

Roze esthetiek
De meeste maatregelen voor het corrigeren van roze esthetiek zijn niet noodzakelijk. De risico’s en voordelen van zo’n chirurgische ingreep moeten zorgvuldig tegen elkaar worden afgewogen.
Tot chirurgisch ingrijpen zal eerder besloten worden bij patiënten met een hoge lachlijn. Bindweefseltransplantaten worden aanbevolen voor correcties aan het tandvlees.
Microchirurgische werkwijzen versnellen de wondgenezing. Blootliggende implantaatoppervlakken blijken echter moeilijk te corrigeren te zijn.
